With modern treatment many cancers are cured or controlled for longer periods of time. Palliative care services have been developed to assist patients and families with the multiple problems encountered as a result of a diagnosis of cancer.

Since 1989 this service has been available through the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team. The role of the palliative care team is to provide a palliative care service for patients with cancer at all stages of their disease.

The Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team is a voluntary organisation supported mainly by local voluntary fundraising by the people of Carlow and Kilkenny. You can also make a donation via PayPal.

Tullow vintage club are holding our Annual Show on Sunday the 12thJune at Rathwood home and garden centre Tullow .It looks like it’s going to be a fantastic show. We would like to invite all our fellow clubs to the show. Loads of attractions for young and old .

Local fire department will be there advise on safety. Raven Haven Aviaries will be there with their fantastic display of birds . Dancing with Declan will be keeping the energetic on their toes.

Loads more attraction’s to suit all ages .

The 19th Gordon Bennett Classic Car Run, hits the road on June 4th, with over 150 vintage and classic cars taking part over the weekend, including the amazing Titanic Ghost, Rolls Royce!

OPW Kilkenny Castle is delighted to host a display of these amazing vintage and classic cars at the Castle Park on the afternoon (12pm to 3pm approx.) of Saturday June 4th.
