With modern treatment many cancers are cured or controlled for longer periods of time. Palliative care services have been developed to assist patients and families with the multiple problems encountered as a result of a diagnosis of cancer.
Since 1989 this service has been available through the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team. The role of the palliative care team is to provide a palliative care service for patients with cancer at all stages of their disease.
The Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team is a voluntary organisation supported mainly by local voluntary fundraising by the people of Carlow and Kilkenny. You can also make a donation via PayPal.
