As some of your members are regular participants in the IVVCC Powerscourt Picnic event, we are happy to advise that the information

on the entry process and full information is now on the www.ivvcc.ie website for the 44^th IVVCC Powerscourt Picnic Event on Sunday, 21^st August 2022. It is just a matter of clicking on the Green Button for Powerscourt on the top picture page and you will be directed to the entry page. Alternatively, if you click on Powerscourt on the Menu bar under Upcoming Events you will also be directed to the entry page.

You may get an initial message that the payment system is seeking authentication which may direct you to your own’s banks APP or alternatively by waiting a moment or so, you will then get a message to advise that it has been successful.

As entry ins confined to 100 entries, we recommend early entry as closing date is Friday 12th August next.

We would ask the winners of trophies in Powerscourt at the 2021 event to make contact with Michael Duff on: michaeljduff35@gmail.com – to arrange the return of the trophy prior to the event.

The Irish International Grand Prix Trophy

The first Irish International Grand Prix was held in the Phoenix Park in 1929. Fast forward over 90 years and we are honoured to award such a salubrious and historic trophy to the Frazer-Nash class at this year’s Carole Nash Historic Festival at Mondello Park.

Dublin Grand Prix Trophy

We are delighted to announce the Dublin Grand Prix trophy, a favourite amongst motor enthusiasts, is returning. The Dublin Grand Prix Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the race of stunning pre-war class cars from the ‘20s and ‘30s. Expect to see famous brands such as Alvis, Austin and MG on the grid.

St. Bridget’s Trophy (New for 2022).

St. Bridget, referred to as the patron saint of Kildare, with fame rooted in pagan folklore for her compassion and kindness, pays a fitting tribute to this inaugural trophy which celebrates the first Irish public holiday being named after a women.
