Ballincollig & District Vintage and Classic Car Club
Celebrating 10 Years
Ballincollig & District Vintage and Classic Car Club will be supporting a fundraising effort to send a local boy Jack who suffers from ASD to Disneyland.
On Sunday the 17th of May the Club are organising a charity vintage run to Ardmore, Co. Waterford.
Sign on from 11am at the Tesco Car Park, departing at 12 noon and heading for Ardmore.
Stopping at the 2-mile Inn for regroup and any East Cork Cars to join.
From there the run will head to Ardmore via Youghal Town.
Entry Fee is €20 per car, all monies raised going to the Charity.
All entries will be entered into a draw for prizes kindly sponsored by local businesses.
The event is open to all Vintage Enthusiasts and the 20 year rule will apply – Vehicles up to 1995 will be accepted.
On Saturday the 24th of May the club will be supporting a fund-raising day in Ballincollig, which will include a Vintage Car display at the Plaza, Ballincollig Shopping Centre.
Note: This year’s annual show is on July 24th-26th at the usual venue, Ballincollig Shopping Centre.

2015 marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of RMS Lusitania by a German U-boat off the Old Head of Kinsale. Cobh will commemorate the sinking with a series of events in and around the town. The events will take place from 7th to 10th May.
As part of the Commemoration, Cobh Classic Car Club will present a selection of Vintage Cars ranging from early 1900’s up to 1930’s and 40’s. The collection will include Ford Model T’s, Roll Royce, Fiat, Austin, MG’s, and Riley amongst others.
These beautifully maintained cars rarely see the light of day as they are stored in clean dry conditions in order to preserve them for present and future generations to enjoy. The commemoration of the Lusitania sinking seems a fitting occasion to bring these 1900’s cars to Cobh as a mark of respect for those lost on that day in 1915.
The collection of cars will be on display on Sunday 10th in Cobh from 11am till 3pm.
The day will also see the visit of Cunard Liner Queen Victoria and a re-enactment by Lusitania ‘100’ of the 1915 funeral procession to Old Church graveyard where 190 of the dead are buried.
Cobh Classic Car Club are once again delighted to welcome Great Island Motors, as main sponsor of Cobh Classic for 2015 which will take place in Cobh on June 20th in Cobh town centre. The event will include a scenic drive through the streets and by-roads around Cork Harbour and East Cork to include a coffee stop at Fota House & Gardens. The club will welcome vintage and classic owners from Ireland, North and South, UK and Europe.
The 20th of June nostalgic event will coincide with a visit from one of the world’s largest cruise liners at the quaside in Cobh
Cobh Classic Car Club have mapped out another fine route throughout East Cork with vintage and classic motors in mind for a fine day of timeless motoring.
Entries to the June event are now welcome. Entry is €25 which includes lunch for one at Commodore Hotel followed by prizegiving.

We host our annual Classic Car Show on Sunday May 24th with proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation.
Our roundabout will host an array of cars from Modern Day Sports to Vintage. We will host a BBQ and feature Live Music to add to the atmosphere on the day!
