From 1st to 9th of August The Munster Morris Minor Club in association with The Irish Morris Minor Owners Club are holding a National and International Morris Minor Rally in Bandon Co Cork. This year is the 60th Anniversary of the Morris Minor and Bandon held its first Morris Minor Rally 21 years ago, so with many cars coming from all over Ireland and also overseas we are sure that this will be a great week.
We are pleased to have the facilities of Bandon GAA Club this has enabled us to provide camping for those who wish and this is where we will hold our Rally on SUNDAY AUGUST 3RD .We will also be hosting a Car Boot and Auto jumble sale on the morning of the Rally. There will also be a short Morris Minor run in the afternoon along our beautiful coastline .
Many other events are planned for the week which will include. A Welcome evening for Guest, A Traditional Irish Night, A Car Treasure Hunt, A Trip to a Brewery and Road Bowling…
We look forward to seeing many old friends and making new ones..

The Irish final of “The Rose of Tralee” were held in Portlaois last weekend and someone came up with the idea of a Parade on the Saturday of the 30 or so “lovely ladies” in Vintage cars. So Ballinakill, The Capri and Kilkenny Clubs were called at short notice to supply the cars and some of our lucky members were able to answered the call………..

A total of 39 cars attended from THE K.M.C. The show was a huge success with a huge crowds attending. There was lots to see and do.

On Sunday May 11th we had a run to Wexford to the Irish Agricultural Museum on the Johnstown Castle Estate. A very interesting place and plenty to see. A total of 24 cars joined us on the day. Thanks to everyone who came.

This year, the Morris Minor is 60 years old. In order to celebrate this the Irish Morris Minor Owners Club is hosting and running several events over the year.
Our first of the year, we will be going over to the NATIONAL RALLY in England from Friday 20th of June to Sunday 22nd June in Standford Hall, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, England.
Next up we have the “BANDON REVISITED” week which is being run by the newly formed Munster Morris Minor Club in association with the “IMMOC”. This will run from the 1st of August to the 8th of August and promises a week of fun with Road Bowling, Trip to Brewery and a street festival.
Finally, we are currently looking at re-running the 1000 mile trip around Ireland over a course of 8 days in September, included in this trip we will take in the Kilbroney Show. We are also looking at doing a type of relay 1000 mile trip with different cars doing sections of the route.

A total of 22 cars made the trip over and by all reports all had a great time with some people booking their hotels for next year already so much for trying to give it a break next year. Please have a look at the “Gallery Page” there is 60 pictures of the weekend.
